Mendon May Day— 19551955 May Pole Dancers

Mendon Sets May Day —Rain Or Shine— Rain or shine, Mendon will celebrate May Day this Saturday, 10:00 a.m. That was the word today from officials, as they announced that crowning of Queen Kohnie Muir, and attendant ceremonies, are planned for 10:00 a. m. Kohnie will be crowned by her consort L. R. Earl; if weather is good, festivities will be on the church lawn, including a maypole dance. If there are storms, the rites will be moved into the recreation hall. Kohnie’s maids and their partners are: Sheryl Gittens and Bartell Bird, Florene Roundy and Dennis Kidman, Althea Sorensen and Richard Yonk, Barbara Sorensen and Perry Peterson. Flower Girl is Kristine Sorensen, and crown bearer, Randy Kidman. A program follows maypole dancing. In the afternoon there will be a children’s dance, a revue for students of the Waite school, races, games, baseball contest, with a dance in the evening being the concluding event.Mendon May Day Court for 1955
