Mendon May Day— 1979Stephanie Muir and Her 1979 May Day Court

Mendon To Celebrate May Day On Saturday— Continuing a tradition of more than 100 years, Stephanie Muir will be crowned Mendon’s May queen Saturday at 10:30 a.m. on the town square by her consort Scott Hill. The dancing of the maypole will follow, and a program will be held in the Mendon LDS Ward Chapel. Stephanie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Muir and Scott is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hill. The flower girl will be Kimberly Olsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Olsen and the crown bearer, Jonathon Watkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Watkins. Members of the court are Cindy Kidman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Kidman, and Tony Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Johnson; Michelle Bird, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Bird, and Stan Wursten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wursten; Becky Hilton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hilton, and Tom Cheney, son of Mr. and Mrs. DeLar Cheney; Belinda Cammack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Cammack, and Robert Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Peterson; Kristy Kotter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Kotter, and Doug Leishman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Leishman. During the afternoon there will be ball games and a variety of races and at 8:30 p.m. there will be a dance in the ward cultural hall.
