Mendon May Day— 1981Mendon May Queen, Carol Croft

Mendon’s May Queen— Carol Croft, daughter of Leon and Pat Wursten and Steve and Carol Croft, has been chosen Mendon May queen and will rule over the century old celebration Saturday. The day’s events will start with the crowning of the queen at 10:00 a.m. on the town square. Sixty-four little girls will dance the maypole and there will be a program in the church. During the afternoon there will be races, bicycle races, games, softball games and at 8:30 p.m., a dance with music by the “Star Riders.” Members of the May Queen’s Court are her Escort, Troy Bennett; Kelly Kotter and Barry Locke, Joann Brown and Stacy Barrett, Kim Kidman and Marc Johnson, Paula Anderson and Brian Earl, Saesaj Fletcher and Mike Hudson, Michelle Taylor and Brett Lewis. The public is invited to attend.
